Media comment: Money Advice Service responds to the Department of Work and Pensions new campaign on workplace pensions

Commenting on the DWP workplace pension campaign, David Haigh, Director, UK Financial Capability at the Money Advice Service said:

“Pensions might seem complicated but the basic idea is a simple one – it is a long-terms savings plan for your future – and millions more people are now saving into one, because of automatic enrolment. But it doesn’t end at just being enrolled into a scheme. A new campaign launched today by the DWP is encouraging people to get to know their workplace pension scheme better. You can find out more here:

www.workplacepensions.gov.uk.

The Money Advice Service also has lots of information about workplace pensions and automatic enrolment, including a Workplace pension contribution calculator which shows you how much you pay in and how much your boss pays in and how this might increase over time. So take the first step in finding out more about your workplace pension”.
