A strategic approach to debt advice commissioning

The Money Advice Service is seeking views on our draft commissioning strategy, A strategic approach to debt advice commissioning.(A strategic approach to debt advice commissioning 2018-2023)

The five-year strategy sets out how we will commission free to client debt advice services as our current agreements come to the end of their funding period, with a focus on delivering to those who are most in need and building long-term financial capability. We are committed to developing the strategy in coordination with the debt advice sector and will liaise with stakeholders as we deliver it.

We want to know what you think of the strategy. We want to hear the views of those involved in the debt advice sector but also those involved in providing public services and professionals who work with people who are or at risk of being over-indebted. All views are welcomed.

There are two ways to feed in your views:

1. To respond to the consultation, we have created an online survey which is available at: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/A_strategic_approach_to_debt-advice_commissioning/ The consultation period finishes on 30 August and the consultation questions are also included in the strategy document.

2. We have arranged a series of consultative events across the UK to capture views and take questions. Details of the events and how to register for them can be found here:
